Point and Play Banners

The “Point-N-Play Playground Banner” is an implement for kids to use at playgrounds to help facilitate alternative/augmented communication (AAC). It is sold by Autism Level UP, a collaboration between Dr. Amy Laurent, psychologist, researcher, and education consultant, and Jâcqûelyn Fede, an autistic researcher and program evaluator. The banner is a way to show and tell at the playground. All children have the right to play and communication should not be a barrier to that right. This banner features core vocabulary, a full alphanumeric row, words around play, playgrounds and fun, basic needs and more. The banner includes an Autism Level UP! Energy Meter featuring monsters from Ra Vashtar as well as much more of Ra’s art!

The banner is 10ft wide and 2.5ft tall. It’s waterproof, UV resistant, durable, and easy to store and clean.

It’s also a great way to introduce the concept of alternative augmented communication (AAC) to abled and speaking children. This banner helps support those that are non-speaking beyond just the preverbal kids in our communities.
