I am a queer (she/her), autistic, Black mother of two under two where the bulk of my professional career has been conducted since becoming pregnant with my first child. I am an outspoken activist and leader in my spiritual community. I consume television programs and books at a higher rate than most people I know. I’ve been telling bad jokes since I was four years old. All of this to say, if there are two things I’m good at, it’s loving people and using words.
I’m a storyteller, Writer, Comedian…Words matter and I try to say as many as possible.
My journey to this realization was meandering, and some may say unconventional, but every stop along the way made me uniquely placed to write the way I do today: characters that dare to resist the box they were told to stand in; themes that explore family, home and identity; stories that scream the humanity of those who are traditionally silenced.
