Mindblindness

Mindblindness is a deficit in theory of mind that is characteristic of autistic people. A person with mindblindness cannot “read the minds” of others—that is, understand their behavior in terms of belief-desire reasoning as described by British psychologist Simon Baron-Cohen (1958).
